Great Grandma Williams

Random ramblings from Grandpa/Dad:

Grandma Williams was 27. Her Grandfather from HHH (b. 1810 d. 1902) - his Dad graduated from Harvard.

Grandpa's point: He knew someone as an adult who's known someone who we he was an adult, who's father had been alive at the time of the revolution.

Great Great Great Grandfather - HHH

Grandpa met his great grandmother in 1947 - which meant that he breathed the same air as someone who was born when slavery was still around. 

Economic value of slaves was bigger than the value of railroads in 1855. Slavery was the biggest economic asset in the mid-1850's. 

Soil in VA was less productive because tobacco ruined the soil.
