Changes

We've had some changes recently around the house.

The boys are both away at boarding school.

There's lots that goes with that simple sentence. In fact, it's all so complex and brings out so many emotions and consequences it's kind of too big for me to really get a handle on at the moment. I'm trying.

The biggest is that they don't live here anymore. I guess they will always call our house "home", even though they technically don't live here. And this is just the beginning as in a few years they will be off to college and really on their way. And maybe, just maybe, they might just come home for a bit after that?

In the meantime their room is empty of life. Not empty empty. There are still clothes and all their personal "stuff" from their years of living so far. In fact, their room is quite a mess - not including the enormous blue paint stain on the white rug as you enter the room.
